Our itinerary: Photowalk: Sunflowers at McKee-Beshers Wildlife Management - This is open to all skill and equipment level.
McKee-Beshers WMA is a 2000 acre area located in Poolesville, MD. Every year, sunflowers are planted for migratory birds and typically in full bloom for several weeks. It is a spectacular display of sunflowers.
Admission: Free
Camera equipment: Macro and LONG lens. Point and shoot are always welcomed.
What to pack: BUG SPRAY AND WATER! We'll be in the midst of a Washington summer.
Directions:
From the Capital Beltway, take Exit 39 (River Road) west toward Potomac. Proceed for approximately 11 miles to the intersection of River Road and MD 112, Seneca Road. Turn left and continue on River Road for about 2 1/2 miles. McKee-Beshers will be on your left as you head west on River Road
